Every Thursday we meet for our Block Parties to build community around God’s good word & good food! We spend time together eating, sharing our stories & connecting with the preached word to the glory of God! In New York we love, respect & rep our block hard! You know if your block is good with you, then you good on your block. Some say they are good in any hood & safe on any block because of the relationships they’ve formed. Block Parties are our commitment to providing a safe space where you’re good & growing with the people there. There are so many blocks in NYC, imagine if we made it so anyone could be good on their block? That would be something special. Ultimately our prayer is that you would find true Joy in Jesus Christ, a strong gospel-centered community & learn to own your block.

Every week during a Block Party, we talk about the sermon that was preached that Sunday. We discuss how it’s impacting our lives and how God is challenging us to grow together. If you miss a service & didn’t get a chance to hear the sermon on Sunday, don’t worry can always listen to the sermon before your Block Party on Joy Way’s podcast.
SHARE YOUR STORY
As we discuss how the word of God is impacting and transforming us, we also share our stories with each other. Whether that be a story about how God is presently moving in your life for His glory, how He brought you to salvation or what your life is like. Here we find joy in the blessing of community & the reality of being adopted into the family of God.

New York is the “City That Never Sleeps”. It can be hard to find a place of rest while you’re hustling for a better life, pursuing lofty dreams & doing everything to make ends meet. We hope that when you find a block party, you find lasting friendships, build a family & truly learn to own your block.
